Hockey Focus Program

At Kanata Academy International we offer a Hockey Focus Program designed to meet the needs of hockey athletes from the recreational level to elite level. Our hockey program is a unique individual player/goalie skills based program for boys and girls. We pride ourselves on developing complete hockey players and can do so with our in-depth hockey curriculum which includes our partnership with Pro Movement, an elite On Ice Development Program ran by one of Ottawa’s best skating coaches. Pat Foget works with Ottawa’s elite athletes and is highly regarded in the hockey world. Additionally, Pat is the Athletic Director and will be coordinating an incredible off ice program for our athletes.

Our talented team have come together to develop a comprehensive program which allows for athlete optimal development. Students will earn two hockey specific high school credits every year and have the option to work towards the Sports Health Focus Program Certificate or the Health & Wellness Focus Program Certificate. Many young athletes that have trained with Pat have received hockey scholarships to NCAA Universities in the United States and some have gone on to play semi-pro and pro hockey

Students will have 4 hours of ice and 4 hours of off ice most weeks (exams, holidays and summative assessments may alter this schedule time to time). At this time, we are looking at scheduling the ice and off ice first thing in the morning.

We have a waiting list started for a program in the East End. If there is enough interest and commitment,Kanata Academy International will open a satellite location in the East End to service our East End Athletes.
